The Watson Prickard Building in Liverpool was designed as a department store in the 1960s. Interestingly, it was intended to be part of a scheme that saw elevated walkways connect buildings without the need to walk through busy streets.
Other ground floor units the building had not been used for shopping for many years and we were tasked with converting the upper floors into offices. The correct specification was important as the office users needed a high degree of confidentiality. We worked with acoustic specialists to design sound reducing partitions and ceiling supplemented with white noise devices.
