Gateley Smithers Purslow strengthens South East offering

Gateley Smithers Purslow (GSP), the multi-disciplinary surveying, engineering and architecture practice arm of legal and professional services group, Gateley, has expanded its Milton Keynes team and moved to a larger office to strengthen its South East offering.

The Milton Keynes team is led by South East regional director and chartered surveyor, Matt Bassano. He joined GSP in 2020 and holds more than 20 years of experience in commercial and residential building surveying work including setting up and managing a small building surveying practice in South East London. Over the past year, Matt has helped to grow the Milton Keynes team to a total of seven which includes recent appointment, Alan Moore.

Chartered building surveyor, Alan, joins following roles with loss adjusters Woodgate & Clarke and 360Globalnet. He has worked within the construction industry for 25 years and has extensive experience across the residential, commercial and insurance sectors. This includes the full remit of traditional building surveying duties, as well as contract and project management.

Alan joins Matt, senior building surveyor – Callan Harwood-Griffith and graduate building surveyor – Louis Lacovara, who are supported by team administrator – Madeline Harrington, and technical administrators – Rebecca Eaglen and Poppy de Choisy.  

Matt Bassano comments: “Since joining GSP four years ago, we have seen a phenomenal uplift in instructions across the South East which has spurred us to develop the team and bring some brilliant talent onboard. It’s great to now have Alan with us, as he has a wealth of valuable surveying and project management experience which will bolster our offering for clients. As well as forming a strong core surveying team, ranging from graduate talent through to senior level, we are planning to recruit additional technical staff this year and also have structural engineer appointments in the pipeline to really strengthen the breadth of our services.”

Gateley Smithers Purslow’s Milton Keynes office is based at The Pinnacle, 170 Midsummer Boulevard. The office will be used by the team to service Milton Keynes, as well as the South East.
