New Cambridgeshire office and surveyor appointment for Gateley Smithers Purslow

Gateley Smithers Purslow (GSP), the multi-disciplinary surveying, engineering and architecture practice arm of professional services group, Gateley, has strengthened its East Anglia presence with a new Cambridgeshire office base and surveyor appointment.

Regional manager and chartered building surveyor, Tim Neaves, will lead the consultancy’s building surveying services across East Anglia. Tim will be supported by new appointment, Andrew Parker.

Chartered building surveyor, Andrew, joins GSP following 22 years with Norfolk-based surveying and engineering consultancy, Rossi Long Consulting, where he managed the building surveying team. He brings extensive experience from across the insurance, commercial and private client sectors, which included projects for councils, local authorities and housing associations, and specialises in heritage and listed building and building pathology matters.

GSP’s engineering services for the region will be headed up by technical director and chartered engineer, Chris Laughton. He will be supported by senior structural engineer, Eleni Pastusiak, who has been servicing the region in a remote role over the past year and will now be based out of GSP’s new Cambridgeshire office.

Both teams will work collaboratively to strengthen GSP’s offering across East Anglia, providing expert advice and managing works for residential and commercial insurance and private sector projects, including flood, fire, high net worth and major loss claims.

Tim Neaves said: “It’s nearly been a full year since I joined the GSP team as part of ambitious growth plans to expand its footprint and offering across East Anglia. It’s brilliant to see this vision coming to life and I’m pleased we now have Andrew on board, bringing a wealth of valuable experience to the team.”

“We’re delighted to see the opening of our Cambridgeshire office, demonstrating the expansion of our multi-disciplinary offering for the East Anglia region”, added Chris Laughton. “I’m looking forward to seeing how the office continues to develop with several graduate roles already in the pipeline.”

Gateley Smithers Purslow’s Cambridgeshire office is based at The Officers’ Mess, in Duxford. The office will be used by the team to service the whole of East Anglia including Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex, as well as Cambridgeshire.
